Positivity :)

“The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.”

WINSTON CHURCHILL

Definitions and Meaning of Positivity

Positivity means thinking in an optimistic way, looking for solutions, expecting good results and success, and focusing and making life happier. It is a happy and worry-free state of mind, which looks at the bright side of life.

Positivity means a  positive frame of mind.

Here’s how to lead a positive day:

1. Start every day on a happy note

Wake up, just smile and forget about all the troubles in the world. It clears your mind.

2.  Focus on the good stuff in life

When you’re in a tricky situation, focus on the good things no matter how small they seem. If you look for it, you can always find the silver lining in every cloud — even if it’s not immediately obvious. For example, if someone cancels plans, focus on how it frees up time for you to catch up on work or other activities you enjoy.

3. Have a laugh every now and then

It’s okay to laugh, you know? Laughter lowers stress, anxiety, and depression. It also improves coping skills, mood, and self-esteem. It instantly lightens the mood and makes things seem a little less difficult.

4. Half glass full

There is a classic scenario: Is the glass half empty or half full? Well, in my book, it’s half full. In these difficult times, it may be hard to see that we have it better. There are so many moments when we think that we are the ones who are having a hard time. But we tend to forget that there’s always someone who is going through something worse.

What is the power of positivity?

Experts continue to find evidence that our thoughts -positive and negative- don't just have psychological effects, they also have physical effects on our body. Advantages of positive thinking include less stress, better overall physical and emotional health, longer life span, and better coping skills

How to Increase Positivity in Your Life

You need to make efforts to increase positivity in your life, in order to counteract negativity. A little more optimism, love, and happy thoughts would help you in this respect. Do something useful each day, to improve your life and the lives of other people. All this will contribute to the steady growth of positivity in your life.

Each evening, sit down and think about what kind of thoughts and emotions you experienced that day? Were there more positive or negative thoughts and emotions? Think about what you can do tomorrow to increase positivity in your life.

As you fill your day with more constructive, optimistic, and happy thoughts and emotions, and do beneficial actions to make life better every day, you will understand more what positivity is and how to increase it in your life.
